Hot Summer 5K Series

Today was the first of the Wednesday evening 5K's, a series I haven't done before, but have signed up to do this year. I saw a good number of friends and colleagues there, most of whom ran much faster or much slower than me. It was hot, at one point the thermometer got up to 99 F. I wasn't impressed with my time, but between the heat and the new route and the change in elevation, it's somewhat understandable.
