In Washington DC on vacation visiting family. I ran up over the P Street Bridge and into Georgetown, then down to the Potomac and around Georgetown Waterfront Park.

Late in getting to October

First run of October. A bit of resting on my laurels, getting sick, bad weather (but not that bad, really), being busy with work, and plain old SLOTH. I did get out this morning, and did my 4.6 mile loop, up Gay to Samford, College to Woodfield. Not feeling too bad after the hiatus and a night of unhealthy consumption (buffalo wings and beer).

A little bit cooler this evening, a little bit quicker to the finish. I had a pretty sizable spicy Indian lunch, which was, in retrospect, a bad idea, after all. Not as many familiar faces this week, but that's okay.

First Run of 2011/Presidio

First run of 2011! A beautiful run up into the Presidio and around the golf course. Back through Mountain Lake Park. A lovely run for the first of 2011 and the last in California for a while. I got to see X at Slim's, Wow, what a show. After showing the movie "The Unheard Music", the band came out and played all of "Los Angeles" and a bunch more. Also, Ray Manzarek (of the Doors) played a few songs with them. Awesome. In a couple of weeks we're off to see Cake in Birmingham. Yahoo!
